More about Chamonix and Run the Alps
With nearly 20 different trail races taking place each year and hundreds of kilometers of trails, Chamonix is the world’s home for trail running. We’ll explore the sporty valley scene with trail runners, climbers and parasailing pilots coming and going at all hours. On the trail, we’ll climb to high alpine paths, and stop at authentic mountain refuges along the way for cafe au lait and freshly baked tarte myrtille (blueberry pie). The valley’s extensive lift system allows us to ease into the mountain terrain, if desired.

While Chamonix is a lively mountain town and the historic home to alpinism, Courmayeur presents a wonderful respite, with ancient cobblestone streets and a friendly, low-key vibe. The thermal baths at historic Pré St Didier Spa is the perfect way to recover, relax and unwind after summiting a few peaks.

Run the Alps was founded by a passionate team of US trail runners who love sharing the unique Alps trail running scene.
